CBS News: Ariana Rockefeller

Fashion designer Ariana Rockefeller appeared on “CBS This Morning” to discuss the public falling out between members of the Rockefeller family and ExxonMobil - a successor to the Standard Oil company founded by John D. Rockefeller.

Some members of the Rockefeller Family are affiliated with philanthropic organizations that have backed reports that suggest ExxonMobil knew more than it was letting on about the threat of global warming.

Speaking to CBS News, Ariana Rockeffeler insisted that all sides should be working together on solutions for climate change rather than battling publicly over the past.

“These family funds do not speak on behalf of all 200 family members, she said in the interview. “I don’t think denouncing a family legacy is the best way to go about doing this.”
